Top 5 Drugstore Products

I have some holy grail products from the drugstore that I just cant live without! These are my top 5 staples.

1. Maybelline Fit Me concealer- shade 10 Light

This has to be my favourite concealer of all time! I love it for everything. For correcting my blemishes and for using under my eyes. The concealer has quite good coverage, it hides all of your imperfections without being heavy or making it look cakey. It has the nicest whipped texture which is so creamy and blendable. It comes in a varaity of diffrent shades ranging from supper fair skin to dark.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer Light 10

2. Natural Collection Blushed Cheeks Blush- Sweet Cheeks

This is the perfect shade for everyday. It gives a lovely glow to the cheeks without it being too much. Although it is a matte shade it does make you look glowy and pretty. It's so natural and great for everyday. Also if you go to school or work and you can't wear too much makeup, this is perfect. It's a gorgeous pinky shade which is not too bright and great for all year round. The texture is not amazing but it's not bad either, It can be a bit chalky at times but overall I think it's perfect and it's only around £1.99.

3. L'oreal Paris Color Riche Quad- Nude Lingerie

These shadows are so creamy and smooth. They glide on your eyes and are really blendable. The packaging is also super cute and classy looking. I love the shades in this quad so much and if your a beginner to makeup it shows you all the steps at the back. It comes with a lid shade, crease shade, highlight everything.

4. MaxFactor Clump Defy Mascara- Brown/Black

If your not a big fan of really clumpy mascara like me definitely go for this one. It makes your lashes really volumized and long but not clumpy. Although the brush itself is plastic/rubbery it still manages to really separate your lashes. I love the shade brown /black because it gives a really natural look but it still makes your eyes pop.

5. L'oreal Paris GlamShine Stain Splash- Lolita

I love to wear this when I'm in a rush or I want to do something quick. It glides on nicely and evenly. It's more pigmented than a lipgloss so Its kind of like a glossy liquid lipstick. This shade is a really pretty pinky, nude with some really small shimmer.

Hoped you all enjoyed, leave any comments down below on anything you would like me to do next and I'll see you next time! Have a Happy Holiday!

Christmas Hot Chocolate

Since we're getting really close to Christmas I thought that I should do something more Christmassy. So as you can tell by the title I will be showing you how to make the perfect hot chocolate. As I also mentioned it in my winter essentials I thought this would be the perfect time to show you how I make it!

Ingredients: milk (estimate the amount or measure it into your mug first)
                   chocolate powder
                   whipped cream (optional)
                   marshmallows, Candy canes ( optional)

1. First you will pour the milk into your saucepan and heat gently or you can heat it in the microwave, whatever your preference .

2. While the milk is being heated add your chocolate powder ( 3-4 tsps.) into your mug. If you want it too be super Christmassy you can also add in some cinnamon.

3. Once your milk is heated add it to your mug with your chocolate powder. Mix it evenly so that the powder and milk dissolves evenly and add your toppings. You can use whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate shavings or even crushed candy canes.

I Hope you all enjoyed this super easy Christmas recipe and try it at home. See you all next time

Spa Night Essentials

Since we are starting to get into the super cold months, I have been giving myself much more pamper nights. I have a tone of essientials which I use to pamper myself so I thought it would be fun to show you all.

Face masks

This is an absoloute must, a pamper night is simply not complete without a face mask! One of my favs is the Montagne Jeunesse mask in strawberry souffle. It is made to purify and moisturises which it really does. But the smell! The smell is heavenly, it litterly smells of fresh strawberries and whipped cream. All of their masks are amazing , they have ones like chocolate, cucumber, guava there is really one for everyone.
Montagne Jeunesse Strawberry Souffle Face Mask 15ml

Candles

Candles just make your house smell and feel super warm. Especially in autumn and winter it is just heavenly. One that I have been burning recently is the Bath and Body Works candle in 'Spiced Aplle Tody'. Smells of apples spices and caramel!

Slakkin Co. Spiced Apple Toddy Candle

Cosy socks

Since it is super cold outside I love to keep warm with some fussy socks. And of course primark has the best socks ever!

Hot chocolate

This is a must! Hot chocolate just gives the wintery Christmassy vibe. A chocolate powder that I have been loving recently is the Twinings Dark Swiss Chocolate drink. I find that a lot of hot chocolate powders don't taste of real chocolate, but this one tastes of pure chocolate. Just as if you melted chocolate and added some milk.

Lip balm

Since your lips get super dry in the winter, you have to have a good lip balm. One of my favs is the Burts Bees Replenishing lip balm. This has pomegranate oil and is super nourishing. I love how it doesn't feel too thick on the lips but is still really moisturising.

Lush Bath Bombs

And I have saved the best for last! I cant even imagine a pamper night without lush bath bombs. I love using them all year round especially in winter. I have been obsessing over the Christmas ones!

Hope you guys enjoyed reading all of my essentials. If you have any I haven't mentioned feel free to comment. Looking forward to the next super Christmassy post!

Birchbox November 2014

So recently I got my Birchbox and I thought It would be a good Idea to share it every month or every month. Now if you don't know what a Birchbox is, it's a monthly subscription box where you receive full size and sample size beauty products(skincare, makeup, body and lifestyle extra) and  it's £10 monthly.

Dr.Jart+ V7 Relief Vita Drop Moisturiser- £26

This was the first product I saw and I was amazed since it was in this big box which the product itself is full size. I tried it on my skin and it seems to be a very light gel like texture and I have been needing a new moisturiser since my skin has gotten quite used to my moisturiser so doesn't do anything much now. This is one of the products I am really looking forward to try.

O.P.I Nail Polish in Coca Cola Red-£11.95

My fav polishes are O.P.I so I was sooo excited to see this. This shade is a classic red which I think is perfect for all year round especially Christmas! ( and yes I have already started planning for Christmas!). I also have to say that the name is adorable.

Beauty Protector Protect and Treat Hair Mask-£16

I have tried quite a few things from this brand and I do love it especially the scent  is supper sweet. I love hair product so I am looking forward to give this a try.

Lord and Berry mini Bronzer in Sunny-£19

I haven't tried too much bronzes but I love my NYC sunny Bronzer so hopefully I will like this. I am slightly disappointed that it doesn't come in a real container so it will be harder to use and I also don't know if I will be able to use my big fluffy brush so I might just use it as a really pretty matte crease shade.

Weleda Almond soothing facial oil-£14.95

I love Weleda so I am excited. Although I do have more oily skin Ivd heard that we should still use oils on our face. Since  it is an almond oil I thought it will bd a very strong scent which I don't like but it is supper subtle.

Drinkwel- £39.99

I'm not really sure what these are but they seem to be big tablets which I probably won't be using.  Really not sure but they might be for drinkers I have no clue.

Hope you all enjoyed that and are looking forward for my next Birchbox.

Sweater weather tag

Recently I was tagged to do this by one of my besties mallyrosexx.blogspot.com. Definitely go check out her blog she does amazing posts from anything cooking to fashion and beauty ( also have a look at her sweater weather tag!).

So as you may know I love doing tags and I thought that this one was really fun so let's get started.

1. Favourite fall candle?
Recently I have been loving 2 candles from bath and body works ( sorry if I'm cheating I just couldn't pick 1!). One is in fresh balsam which smells of freshly cut Christmas trees, even though we are still not in the Christmas months I just get excited. And I also love the one in Apple cider which smells very cinnamony and like apples and slightly sweet. The thing I love about B&BW candles is that they really give out a scent and really do make my whole room really strongly scented.

2. Coffee,Tea or Hot Chocolate?
I feel that for autumn and winter I would have to choose hot chocolate since I mainly drink it during these seasons. While for coffee and tea I drink them mostly all year round so it must be hot chocolate.

3. What's the best fall memory you have?
I don't really have any specific fall memory but I would say that when I was younger (when there wasn't so much homework and work to do!) I used to go almost every morning on a walk just looking at the leaves and the pretty views.

4. Which makeup trend do you prefer : dark lips of winged liner?
I think I would go with winged liner because I feel as if dark lip colours don't really suit me and I'm  more of a natural girl, but I do love the look of dark colours on other people. I do like to sometimes do winged liner do give more of a diffrent look.

5. Best fragrance for the fall?
For me it would be Alien by Thierry Mugler since its a spicy warm scent with vanilla and a lot of depth.

6. Favourite thaksgiving food?
Since I do live in the UK we don't really celebrate thanksgiving so unfortunately I can't really answer that question.

7. What is autumn weather like where you live?
As I said I live in Britain so the weather is mostly rainy and really windy but it still can be sunny sometimes.

8. Most worn sweater?
I love my H&M sweater which is made of 2 or 3 shades of blue which gives it a really pretty look. And of course it's super comfy!

9. Must have nail polish this fall?
I love Sally Hansen salon manicure nail polish in 'Raisin the Bar' it's a really pretty purpley red with shimmer which is just perf for fall.

10. Football games or jumping in leave piles?
Definitely jumping in leave piles.

11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
I think skinny jeans because I wear them more often but I do love me some cosy leggings.

12. Combat boots or uggs?
This is a close one but I will have to do combat boots because I think they look nicer and give some edge to your outfit while uggs are more for comfort.

13. Is pumpkin spice latte worth the hype?
I would say yes I loveeee it! But I don't have it too often since its not the healthiest.

14. Favourite fall TV show?
I really don't know?! I fell like I just kind of watch anything that interests me that day.

15. What song really gets you in the fall spirit?
I think it would be Sparksfly by Taylor swift. I just love swifty and that is one of my faves. I really don't know why it reminds me off fall but it does.

Now I tag all of you and I hope you enjoyed.

The Lip Addict Tag

Now this is a little different than normal but today I'm going to be doing a tag!! Let's get started!

1. Favourite balm/treatment?

I think that my favourite balm /treatment must be the Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine. It is slightly on the pricier side for a lip balm ( £8 ) but I love it so much. It makes my lips so soft and really nourishes them. Normally I will apply it before I go to bed and then when I wake up my lips are super soft . The lip butters come in different shades and flavours such as pomegranate, guava etc.

Korres Jasmine Lip Butter (10ml)
2. My Best Eye Catching Red?

I actually probably cant answer this question since I never wear red lipstick because I don't think that it suits me very we'll so I don't have any red lipsticks. Yeah! (Sorry!)

3. Best luxury and best drugstore?

I don't have too many luxury lipsticks because think that lipsticks at the drugstore are amazing so why waste the money. But sometimes you have to have luxuries in our life! Am I wright ladies!
My fav high end lipstick be would be the Dior Lip Addict in the shade 260 Rose Deshabille . I think it's so creamy and such a gorgeous natural colour. My fav drugstore would be the Maybelline Colour Whispers , which aren't in the UK but are amazing. I have a couple shades and they are all beautiful, they are all slightly sheer but easily buildable. And I would say that I love them more than the Revlon Lip Butters.Shhhhhh!

Color Whisperâ„¢ by Color Sensational®
4. Best Mac Lipstick

My favourite Mac lipstick would have to be Angel but I do love cream cup but it would be angel definitely. A gorgeous pinky shimmer shade.(Mac Frost)

5. Most Disappointing Lip Products?

Unfortunately I didn't really think that the Revlon Lip Butters were that great. Sorry but I just don't think their worth the hype. I wouldn't say that their a really bad product but I think that everyone was really bringing my expectations really high and it just didn't live up to that. And I also didn't think the colour selection was so good. But I still do use it, just not as much as I would like to.

6. Liner-yes or no?

No, because I normally forget to apply it so on a daily basis I would have to say no and it's just another extra step(I'm just lazy to be honest!).

7. Best gloss?

I would have to say that my fav gloss would have to be urban decay naked lip-gloss in the shade Liar. I feel as if their just a gorgeous texture and have a really nice minty tingly feeling. The colours are mostly neutral in the naked collection but I particularly love the shade liar, it's a gorgeous pinky nude shade which goes with basically every lipstick.

Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lipgloss

8. Any other?
No

So I hope you guys enjoyed this quick tag, hopefully I gave you some ideas of the products I have been loving recently. If you have any requests pleas leave them down below and see you guys next time.
Alexjoy xx

Just wanting to apologise that I have been having a lot of problems trying to upload pictures on to my blog. I wanted just to tell you this so that you know that I have been trying to fix it but nothing has been working but I will continue to try get them up for all of you. Sorry

Fav Autumn Fashion Trends

So far on my blog I haven't talked much about fashion, although I love it equally or maybe even more than beauty. So I thought a great way to start my FASHION And beauty blog is to start with fashion trends I have been loving for the start of this season. (AUTUMN!)

Cardigans

First of all I think that one of my biggest essential for autumn is a nice cosy cardigan, if it's colourful ,neutral whatever colour it is ,I think it is definitely a big staple in anyone's wardrobe. It can be slouchy and supper comfy or it could be for fitted. It can make your outfit look more put together and at the same time it brings you to cosy land.

Ankle boots

This may be my favourite essential of all.......ankle boots. I mean how can you go wrong with a simple pair of brown booties. I think it's a staple in my wardrobe. I think they are soooo easy to style with jeans, skirts, dresses everything. And they look so cute! You can get diffrent style booties so if you prefer some height definitely go for a little heel but if not just go for the simple option. "SIMPLES" ( If you know where that Is from I LOVE YOU).

Scarfs

Since cold weather is coming( when is it not cold in the UK?) I always start to wear scarfs. I basically wear scarves all year round but much thinker ones in Autumn and winter. If your outfit is looking very plain or doesn't have a lot of color just add a scarf and ....wow, you just came out of a fashion runway. My favourite this year had been floral. I just love the look of a scarf with a denim jacket or with a army jacket or anything really.

Skirts

Now, you might be thinking " skirts in the autumn and winter ,no chance you can wear that". Well the answer is simply yes. All what you have to do is layer. So for example you can wear a high waisted skater skirt with a crop top( if the skirt is a solid colour go with a print such as floral but if the skirt has pattern skip to a plain colour such as white) with tights. Then you could layer on top a nice jacket,a scarf and ankle booties. Now your getting we excited for fall.

Flannels

If I ever don't know what to wear this is my go to look. Just throw a flannel put on some jeans and ankle boots a jacket and some cute accessories and your ready to take on your day. They are also the cosiest thing, and who doesn't like to be cosy in fall.

So that was my top 5 essentials for autumn, I hope I've given you some ideas for your outfits. Please tell me what your essentials are this autumn and see you next time.

L'Oreal La Manicure BB Perfect

Soin des Ongles - La Manicure BB Perfect Pastel - BB Perfect Pastel  So this was a product that I didn't mention in my last blog post, but this is by far the best product I purchased during my holiday. This is from the L'Oreal nail care range and so far I haven't seen this exact one in the UK. This one is called the BB Perfect , this claims to smooth, revive, strengthen and protect. And I really think it does all of this.

My nails have grown so much thanks to this product, and they are not as thin and brittle as they used to be, they have no ridges at all and are so smooth which leaves a nice surface for nail polish. I sometimes use this as a base coat before my polish or sometimes I use it on its own. As you can probably tell by looking at the polish, it has a very light , sheer pink colour.it also lasts a long time on the nail without chipping. As I said its unfortunately unavailable in the UK but L'Oreal do have more similar products which I would really love to try. Overall I would definitely give this a 10/10.

DIY Lip Scrub

Now i know that we've all been there, with dry and chapped lips, so I think once in a while it's good to exfoliate them. I'm going to tell you a DIY which is much more affordable than other lip scrubs and is just as good. Keep reading for this amazing lip scrub.

This is lush lip scrub in bubblegum and the one on the right is our home made one.

What you'll need :
* sugar( white or brown), this is a very good exfoliator
*oil ( coconut, olive, sunflower etc.) makes your lips soft and moisturised
*honey, also very moisturising
*cinamon( optional- for added flavour,or colour)
*container ( mine is an old lip balm jar)
*spoon for mixing

Now depending on the size of your container and how dry or moisturised your lips are ,you roughly estimate how much of the ingredients you put in. For example if you have dry lips then you'll put more oil and honey but if you want more exfoliation then apply more sugar.

Just add some sugar into your container, and add some honey.

Now add in any oil ( I'm adding some sunflower oil, with vitamin E)' and stir.

Now this is optional, but if you like the taste of cinamon you could add it, which will give it a slight taste and a hint of colour.

If it's too hard ,be sure to add more oil, but if it's too soft add some more sugar.

And there you have it ,your very own freshly made lip scrub. Just apply to the lips and massage with finger, or for even more exfoliation use an old toothbrush. This is a great idea for gifts, just add a bow and..... Wow!

After add your favourite lip balm and enjoy your luscious lips

Pantene Light Repair And Protect Shampoo

I have been trying diffrent shampoo's for years and have never found one to be amazed by. All of the ones are really standard and just clean, and don't do anything to your hair. But a couple of weeks ago I bought this new shampoo which had wonderful comments. I normally love the brand Pantene but as always they do have hits AND MISSES. Once I had bought it, I had realised that it was just a lighter version of the shampoo I wasn't really the biggest fan off. This turned to be he best shampoo I have tried in my life. This was amazing. I love how it really does deep clean your hair but it doesn't dry it. It takes away all of the buildup which makes your hair feel and look cleaner and less greasy. So when you add dry shampoo I between your washes it still feels like freshly washed hair. It does also feel really light and not heavy which is the big difference between this one and the normal version. I would really recommend this to everyone. Dry,Oily,Normal etc.

My Top Summer Fragrances

As always I love smelling good and therefore I wanted to share with you my top summer fragrances. These can range from affordable to high end, but there will be one for everyone.

Juicy Couture Malibu

Now ,this one of my most recent and favourite purchases. First of all look at how gorgeous the bottle is. Now from this collection there is "2" different scents. A pink one and a orange one, the pink one Is lala Malibu while this one is just Malibu. Personally I love wearing all scents all year round but this one just screams summer (and spring). This scent is not too heavy and has a nice light scent. I love how it's not too floral but not all fruity. Inside there is white floral, watermelon ,tangerine ,apple ,lily, pink passion fruit, jasmine and musk. I would say this scent can be worn by most ages, I feel that even though it's sweet and fruity it has some sort of classy, sophisticated note too. The lasting power is quite good, it's very noticeable for around 3h but then it gets lighter. I absolutely adore this fragrance.

Alien by Thierry Mugler

This particular scent is more of a classic, more mature scent, but I do love it anyway.  It's much more a stronger scent so you could also wear it at night time. It has mandarin, Moroccan jasmine, musk and amber. As you can probably tell it has a lot of musky undertones. This one I love all year round so it might be more for fall since it's slightly heavier but I just had to mention this.

Love Spell By Victoria Secret

This scent has been here for a while now, and is one their signature scents now.  I love this since I think it's super light ,just for summer and it's a very fresh ,sweet scent. I also think it's more for the younger crowd like for the teenagers and people in their 20s. But of course it's life! Wear want you want and just have fun. This contains notes of peach and chines cherry blossom. The only thing I would say is that it doesn't last very long on the skin( about 2h). But it's sooo fresh and gorgeous!

Hoped you guys enjoyed some of my top 3 fragrances and please tell me in the comments below your faves for summer. Also leave any requests down below for any particular post!

Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner

Recently I bought this Eyeko liquid liner which I've been using quite often and have been amazed at the magic it does. Now let's just get straight to the point! So first of all I love how fine the applicator is and what a precise line it makes. Then I love that it's in a pen form so it makes it slightly easier to apply your eyeliner (even if your bad at eyeliner). The only thing that could be improved on is the colour selection. This liner doesn't come In a wide selection of colours with just  3/4 shades in the range. This liner is more on the " higher end" list but isn't to pricey for a good quality eyeliner. So if your looking for a good, easy to use liquid liner you have found your match!

My Body Shop Faves!

Hello Everyone!
I'm just an ordinary teenage girl who is obsessed with everything beauty and fashion. I wanted to share some of my favourites from the Body shop since I love so many of their products (especially the scents!) So here are some of the things that I have been loving recently.

Vineyard Peach Body Butter

Everyone talks about how amazing their body butters are, so me being a Body Shop lover of course I had to try them out. I had bought this body butter on sale around February but didn't use it often since I was still using the warmer type of scents for winter. But since spring and summer is here I decided I should start using it. The smell Is absolutely gorgeous, it smells just like fresh peaches, which is great for summer. But the body butter itself is really amazing. I find that it is super moisturizing, especially if you have slightly dryer skin. I find that for me it isn't too greasy but it is a slightly heavier body moisturizer. They have a wide range of scents so there's something for everyone. Overall I would definitely repurchase their body butters, since I think they are ever so lovely!

Mango Shower Gel

Shower gels are something you will always need, so why don't you treat yourself with some lovely smelling ones! Personally I'm not a big fan of tropical scents but when I smelt the mango scent I fell in love. Somehow  this was different, although It was still tropical I completely fell in love! Now this shower gel isn't super moisturising, its more just a standard  shower gel but the scents are amazing. One thing I dislike is that when you're in the shower you cant really smell the scent which is a bit disappointing. But every time I'm in the shop it always temps me.

Lip Butters

I can personally never have to many lip products, so lip balms is always a must. Every time I walk past their lip butters they always attract me. The cute packaging, the different flavours/scents and of course how moisturizing they look. When I bought a couple it became my number 1 product. They are sooo creamy and moisturizing and leave your lips feeling so soft. This isn't a lip balm really targeted for really chapped lips, but for softness this is definitely the one. My favourite is the Shea butter one since I feel that it is the most moisturizing, but to be honest they are all amazing. I like to use this before bed since it comes in small pots which would be slightly harder to use on the go. But overall I feel this is one of the best products in the Body Shop!

So if you have any Body Shop products you have tried or are your favourites please tell me in the comments below.
